A great gift!

Author

Dr. John Sotos, a cardiologist, earned his MD degree and completed all of his medical training at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.

He wrote the classic clinical text Zebra Cards: An Aid to Obscure Diagnoses, which catalogs unusual and striking manifestations of disease largely unknown to physicians.

In 2003 Dr. Sotos established that President William Howard Taft had severe obstructive sleep apnea during his Presidency. This grew from his larger work, the award-winning web encyclopedia of The Medical History of American Presidents. It has been the Yahoo! Site of the Day and has twice been a USA Today Hot Site.

Dr. Sotos is currently Adjunct Professor of Medicine at the University of North Carolina, CEO of Apneos Corporation, a colonel in the Air National Guard, and a medical technical advisor for the television series House, MD.
